And time spent with good friends and a few days to our self's, who could ask for more.

Preparation is the key to success! Glad you have had a great week, even though you got off to a rough start with the tire. Could have been a lot worse without the Tire Pressure Monitor. Based on our previous blowouts on the Toy Hauler and your recent "preventive" experience, our TST 510 system is on the way.

Update 7/8/16 Water regulator
This definitely made a nice difference. I have it set at about 55psi and now the shower feels like home.
Another successful Mod to improve our time spent in the RV.

Water regulator Mod...
I installed a good quality water regulator with the gauge. I used 2 - 45° hose bibs that I found at Camping World. I then made a support out of a closet hanger support that i had in my junk drawer.
Sense I use the quick-coupler system it needs to be firm and supported.
Also because of the weight of this regulator.
I also had to put a 45° brass fitting on the gauge so it will face the right direction.

Where did you get the regulator and gauge?

Our TPMS has saved our bacon more than once! It has been one of our best investments. We will never have another truck or trailer without.
TPS saved the day
Yesterday we hooked up and headed out. As we're we're heading down our street the TPS monitor started beeping and said I had a right rear trailer tire at 80psi (I run them at 110psi) so at first I thought maybe it just hasn't linked with the truck yet and carried on then as it did it's rotation it came up again. So we stopped at Les Schwab and had it checked. I was low so I used the Level-up to jack up the trailer and spin it to look for something in the tire. We couldn't see anything and decided to stick it in the dunk tank. I grabbed my Dewalt 1/2 impact and had it off before he could find an air gun. LOL
They are fast !! But I'm faster..
Sure enough there was a nail in the tire. Tom had it plugged and patched in no time at all and we were on the road again.
Thanks Mike and Tom at the Tracy Les Schwab...
If I didn't have the TPS monitor I probably would have eventually damage the tire and had a blowout. We all know what that can do to the side of the trailer.
All in all I think the TPS has paid for itself a few times over.

I just finished making up a complete water regulator kit for a friend.
I have about $120 into the hole thing.
It is definitely worth it !!!
With the ACE hardware quick connects and the adjustable pressure with the easy to read gauge, and being permanently mounded in the docking station. It doesn't get any easier.
I have all of the quick connect caps for the RV and for the hose while it's in storage.

I was going to order all my parts to make myself one...minus the quick connects because I already have that... Go ahead and make mine with the support bracket and I will PayPal you the money!

It's a fairly easy set up. The hardest part is cutting and drilling the 1 hole in the support bracket. LOL

Hey Jerrod can you remind the people using your regulator that you still need a regulator to wash out their black tanks just in case some one may have forgotten.

Dave it is probably a safer practice to use one on the black tank flush. However I do not use one. My thought is it is wide open at the other end so there for it really never builds up to much presser. I have never used one on there.
But now you have me thinking if I put a gauge on the hose I could tell if I'm at a park with to much pressure. 90 or 100 psi + now you might have a problem.
I like a lot of flushing flow... Now you gave me a new idea thanks

This is excellent news as I copied your setup almost exactly. View attachment 46260

Jerrod and Steve: Do either of you feel that your 'quck connects' reduce your water flow. The reason I ask is that I used one this past week for the first time and it seemed that the flow was much less than normal. I got the connectors from our local yard and garden place (not Home Depot) so now wondering if there is a difference. The diameter of the connection stem seems small to me. Unfortunately I did not have an opportunity to try the flow without the connector but I'm going to try to do that this week while the coach is available.

I have not used my new setup at a CG yet. But, Jerrod did last week. He set the pressure gauge to 55 and was very happy with the results.

Thanks - I asked before I got to the post where you had the items shown. Looking at the items in their packages it looks like the openings ARE much larger. I'll go to our local ACE Hardware store and see what they have. Again, Thanks.

Final product.

Ok I figured I would address Dave's legitimate concern and made up a pressure monitoring system.
This way it is still a straight shot into the flush line with no regulator. But I can control the pressure with the gate valve on the quick connect. I'll just keep it under 60 psi. Maybe more !!!!
This was an old pressure gauge I had in my box of tricks, I have a new one on it's way from Amazon.
I think the new one is a bit shorter too.
