Question on quick lube tires.

I purchased used Elkridge, 2011. Has quick lube tires... Was used to my Hitch hiker that had never lube and what they said was true..drove thousands of miles US., Guatemala, Mexico and never a problem. Past experience with other 5th wheels...had tires catch fire, burned up axel and it fell off, etc. No have the quick lube and wondered if I still need to have the bearing checked and packed...and if so what type of lube do I use.

Hi asplus,

Your going to get mixed opinions on this subject, some do and some don't clean and pack the bearings. Me, I do clean and pack the bearings.

Moved to better area also.

X3 on hand packing. The E-Z lube is not that E-Z. You need to have the coach hooked to the TV...lift the trailer by the frame (never by the axle)...spin the tires while pumping in grease. Try to use the same type grease.
