Rear Window Mods Completed

Today I was able to install the vertical blinds on the two side windows in the rear of the rig. I had rebuilt the valances earlier, using the fabric from the originals, and was able to mount them securely to the underside of the cabinets across the rear of the rig. As I mentioned in an earlier post, these are Levelor blinds, the vanes were cut at the Lowe's store to my dimensions, and the head rails ordered and shipped to the CG.

After the installation work, we went to Legg's Inn in Cross Village, MI, to celebrate DW's 60th birthday.

For the time being, I've run out of modifications to do, so I guess I'll just have to enjoy the rest of the summer.

Do they sway when in motion? Or can they be locked in? This is a great idea.

Yes, they can sway in transit. So we secure them (the rear one so far) with rubber bands in the full open position. Even if they do move, the recliners prevent too much swaying.

We like the adjustability of them and they don't look like contorted junk as did the large window day/night shade. And the cat's like them since they can poke their noses through them, even when closed, to keep an eye on any critters in the vicinity.

Ray, they both slide to the rear. Would have liked the rear window blinds to open in the center, but that would have been a special order and involved pull chains and cords instead of a single rod.
