Recommendations for Trailer Hitch Lock - Trailrunner

I've had trouble finding a lock that fits my hitch. There's a collar on it that is too wide for the U-bolt style locks. It has a shallow receptor for the ball too with no good edge. Even so, the collar still sticks out so locks don't fit over it. Tried many different styles of locks. Wondering if anyone else has had a similar problem and what you did about it. I've thought about grinding down the edge of the collar just enough to get the U-bolt over it but don't want to do anything to the integrity of it.
Any ideas are appreciated.

Hi Trig,

Welcome to the Heartland Owners Forum and to the family. We have a great bunch of folks here with lots of information and all willing to share their knowledge when needed.

I'm not sure where your talking about placing the lock, so I'll let some of our other Trailrunner owners jump in with some suggestions for you.

Enjoy the forum.

I invested a lot of munny into my TT, so, I got the Proven Industries "Best Lock". I also bought a hardened steel puck-lock from Amazon.
