Reese 15K Pro Series with slider (round tube design) . . . thoughts anyone?

Moved on to the next thing...
We are picking up our new 2015 Heartland Prowler P292 5th-wheel trailer this coming Friday, and are getting the Reese 15K Pro Series with slider . . .

This is our first 5th-wheel trailer, so I am new to this (been pulling bumper pull trailers since the 1970's) . . .

Anyone here have any experience or thoughts on this setup?

We got it as part of the deal on the trailer . . .

As we were attending the Colorado HOC Spring Campout last weekend when we purchased the trailer, a slider hitch was recommended by several of the chapter members since we have a short box (6.5 foot bed) just as a security option in case we get into a tight spot!

All thoughts appreciated . . .

I would get the Super Glide 16k model that fits with std. bed rails. Online they are probably about the same price. Trouble free fully automatic. I would rather not use a slider hitch but if you need one, this is the one to get. Getting a hitch as part of your trailer deal, doesn't mean it is free......Don
