Removing LR Carpet

Has anyone removed the Living room carpet in a Landmark. I am wanting to do away with the LR carpet in favor of wood or laminant and am wondering if the laminant that runs throughout the coach is under the carpet in the living room. Also since the removal of the carpet changes how the slide rides (I assume) is there the little wheels that are on the slide in the kitchen area or would those have to be added or adjusted for the difference in carpet missing?

Wanting to do the same in our Charleston. We did figure out, thanks to our kittens, that the laminate does not go past the kitchen.
