Rocker/Recliners

On our first trip coming home the rocker/recliners broke one strap and another one let go. My question is, how is the best way to position them so they don't break the straps or hit the wall. Do you lay them down, back to back or what?

I always put mine back to back and the strap never broke. I also put a heavy towel between the rockers.
