Anyone pulled a big 5er over the 166?

I can tell you that years ago I traveled this in a car and it's one lane in each direction and it was very tight in some areas. I would advise going up to Hwy 46 and go over to Pass Robles then drop down to Santa Maria

I go that way to and from Pismo Beach all the tine. It is a good road. It is just one lane each way. It can get busy on Sunday with everyone coming back from the beach. I leave by 10:00 and have no problem. There is one down hill grad. There is signs way before. I come down at 45 mpr with no problem. If you are going to 99 north. Look on a map. I take Old River Rd to Bear Mountain Bivd to 99 north. The road is decent (some ruff spots) but save me time to 99 north.
