Schwintek drive gears question

Sorry if I butchered the proper name in subject line, but have a question about it. Purchasing dealer told us we could extend the slide out a little bit to gain access to bathroom (while sucking it in--lol), but to be careful not to extend too far so as to not flip the seal over and will then have to fully extend and retract. Dealer who did our NYS inspection said that's a no-no cuz the drive system "counts" as it extends/retracts and if we put it out just a little bit, it will mess it up. Who's right???????

I have a friend who has this system and your dealer is partially correct. If you google this topic ,it will give the dos and dont's of this system.
Swinteck states to Only competely extend and retract system ,do not open part way because it will throw the system out of sync. There is a procedure that must be followed it the system does go out of sync as well, also there is a Special lube required for the lunbing of the motors and drive. The motors are housed in the tracks behind the rubber swipes.Google and print out for your reference material folder.
