Screws for Attaching Solar Panels?

Hi All -- I am attaching solar panels to a Sundance RLB3300. I have read some people use #10+ 1" screws, others use Well-Nuts, and I am sure there are other choices.

Any recommendations?

Recently read a post where some kind of tape used in the aerospace industry is being used rather than screws. Not sure if your application would be suited to this method,

Having the panels raised provides a flow of air that helps keep them cooler.

[h=2]Temperature[/h] Some panels like it hot but most don’t. So, panels typically need to be installed a few inches above the roof with enough air flow to cool them down.

Thanks for the ideas. I am using RV Z-mounts that will raise the panels about an inch off the roof. I'll try #12 1" screws and see how firm they feel.
