Second bed in garage removal.

Has anyone removed the top bed in their garage. I need to remove mine for more height clearance to the couch bed. I think its a simple removal of a couple of pins. Once removed will the motorized couch bed go higher, or is it limited to its current height? I don't want to permanently remove it, just for one trip where I don't need it and I need clearance to a friends toy.

I'll check mine out permanently just drop it down to its low position remove the four clips that retain the pins through the brackets ,tilt on an angle and walk it out the back.
