We're coming up on six years living in our BH...the gate valves are getting REALLY hard to use, and the black valve is "leaking" fluid....

We've decided to pull the belly and replace all three...can anyone tell me the sizes of the three valves in an '08 3600 RL??? Also, will the 72" cables that are standard on the replacements be long enough, or do we need extensions?? Would like to have what we need to do the job BEFORE we drop the belly...Thanks!!

With your Vin# in hand, call Heartland Customer Service and tell them what you need.
Once they look up the parts they will call you back with a price.

FYI: I went through a problem with grey water tank #2 dump valve last month. I will relate my story to you.
I could not close my #2 tank valve.
I pulled the underbelly to find the location and what all would be needed. I then called Heartland Customer Service and told them I needed a 1 1/2 inch valve and cable for my #2 grey water tank. The lady said they would call me with the price after they looked up the part number. They would take my credit card number at that time.
The next day, I received a call from Heartland with a price of $237.00. I told the gentleman I though this was a high price for a 1 1/2 inch valve. He told me it was for a 3 inch valve and black water tank. I said this was a mistake and again told him I needed a 1 1/2 inch valve and cable assembly. He said he would send it back to the first lady and start over. He would call me the next day. Next day I get a call and price of around $150.00 for the valve and #2 Grey water tank. I again said it was a mistake, and I only needed the 1 1/2 inch valve and cable assembly. Next day I get a call and a price of $27.00. I said this is for the valve and cable assembly, and he said yes. I gave them my credit card number and was shipped the parts.
What I received was only the 1 1/2 inch valve, no cable, which was fine because I didn't need the cable. The valve package said it was a cable operated valve, and I suspect this was the problem with them understanding what I needed.
So my advice to you is to make them repeat to you what your order consists of before you pay for it, and be very clear to them what it is you want.

I have a 2011 Big Country and I have 1 1/2 inch valves on the 2 Grey tanks and a 3 Inch valve on the Black water tank.

Was easy to change out, not a problem. Just make sure the tanks are empty.

Good Luck.

You should have 3" waste valve and two 1 -1/2" grey valves. They are not special to Heartland or any other manufacturer. Valterra is the main company that makes replacement valves and any good RV store should have them, both styles, with or without cables. As well as all the pieces to install them if you need to cut the pipe. You may not need the cable assembly as long as the current one is functioning and not broke, as it attaches to the new valves. I would, however, take it apart and spray it with some graphite spray anyway.
It's not a hard job, just a somewhat messy one.
