Slide Problems

The wife and I have been going in circles with our dealer about this main slide out. It will not fully extend out. We took it to our dealer on several occasions to get add-ons and some warranty work. They always tell me there is nothing wrong with this slide out. I don't want to mess with it because I don't know what I'm doing. Any suggestions or have anyone had this problem?

Some of the slides extend farther out then others. Inside the trailer is the slide flush against the wall?

I'm not familiar with the Wilderness models. A pic of the slide from the inside would be nice. How far is the trim standing off on the inside?

I don't have a picture from the inside but will add one tomorrow when I take it out camping. You can tell that it's not flush with the wall/trailer.

Slides do not go completely flush with the inside walls. They do stick out about 1" to 2" from the wall because of the seals.

Bob,
I was also thinking since these slides have cables they usually are a little away from the wall too because of the cabling equipment and motors are there.

It is hard to tell if your slide is sitting flush with the standoff inside your camper. When you look at the side from the inside do you see a gap there and do you see the cable there? If not your slide may be out all the way already. Keep in mind you don't want your cable to be really tight or really loose. Can you see the top of the slide where the motor is? There is where you should be able to see the cable that pull the slide out and the cables the retract the slide.

Here is a quick video describing how the cable system works and replacement. I don't know if this is the system that is used in the camper but just something informative

Thanks Bones, I saw that youtube video but I don't want to mess anything up. So I have to take it to the dealer next week.
