Slide room noise

When I pull in the off door slide, it makes a squealing sound for the first 12"-14". After that point, it sounds normal. Everything operates as normal and the slide is closing and sealing properly. It is an electric slide. Any ideas?? Could it need lubricated? Thanks for the help.

Jamie, if it's electric with a rack and pinion, lubricate it.
There are slide lubes available. They allegedly leave no sticky residue that attracts dirt.
