Slider motor laboring

The last two times I brought the slide in the sound of the motor changed. New sounds catch my attention. When the slide first starts coming in it sounds normal but as it gets closer to the end the motor sounds like it's laboring. Getting ready to use it a bunch in October and don't want a surprise. Thoughts?

What kind of slide is it? Different kinds of slide-out systems require different types of maintenance.

It's a cable slide. I opened it up and found a couple problems that I resolved. The frame bracket on the inside cables had slide way over to the outer most location causing the cable to hit the frame, very ugly. I installed a couple of bolts taking up the space moving the cable back to the center of the opening. It's running a lot better, no laboring.
