Beginning December 1st we'll be at Bentsen Palms Village in Mission TX. Leaving Sundre on October 18th & we want to spend some time in the canyon area of Utah & Arizona. Then heading to the Cajun area of Louisiana before heading to Mustang Island & then Mission. Hopefully weather cooperates along our initial travels.

Eh!

We'll be at Rockport Texas for the month of December... perhaps longer if we like the area. The area is new to us so picking a park for us tends to be price related at first... once we have visited several parks in the area we'll better know where to return too... in the future.

We selected Beacon RV park... along the shores of beautiful Aransas Bay... or so they claim... http://www.beaconrv.com/

Smokey:

We will be at "Woody Acres" from about 1 Nov 2009 through 1 April 2010. Woody's is a pretty nice place. Only about 1 Mile from the gulf. A group of us guys get together several times a week and go fishing from the piers. Perhaps we can get together and chew the fat, or go fishing or check out each others homes. BTW every Tuesday "The Big Fisherman" has all the chicken livers, gizzards or chicken fried something that you can eat for a 1.89:eek:. You do have to sign a waiver saying that you will hold them harmless if you eat to much and put on weight.

The local movie house also has all the popcorn you can eat for free. You just have to bring your own bowl. See you there.

Paul and I are heading to the RGV mid January-not quite sure where yet. Just getting thoughts organized after the passing of my Dad. We have a friend with an RV site on the same plot as her mobile in a park, she has wanted us to come there for a few years. We will be discussing with her all the details, like place. See ya all in the valley. Nan

Mesa Regal RV Resort in Mesa

We arrived at the Mesa Regal RV Resort in Mesa AZ and love it! We are both desert rats and the weather is terrific. Great location and there is so much to do and see. We are workampers and are on the event setup committee so we get our space and electric free.

Sandy Oaks Rv Resort

I'm looking at this CG for January. Is anyone familiar with Sandy Oaks Rv Resort in Beverly Hills, FL and with the surrounding area?

We will be leaving Nov. 1 to Tropic Star in Pharr, TX, and can't wait to get on the road again. Pharr is right next door to Mission. Lots of MO people down there, lots of things to do such as horse shoes, crafts, tennis, golf, swimming, etc. This will be our 3rd year. You can do as much or as little as you want. Anyone going down in this area, come on over and say Hi to Sandi & Gary at 132 Olsen.

That's a very nice park... is the north area the new area?

We had friends, the Southwoods, who work-camped there for a few years.

Eh!

First timers here and Paradise Park, McAllen, Tx is the destination. Expect to leave Des Moines area soon after the 14th of October. We made an exploration trip to the RGV last winter and decided to jump into snow birding with both feet.

We never owned an RV in our lives, but now we do as of this past Friday, a new North Country 29RKS. We bought an RV lot in the park to put it on.

Welcome to the Heartland Family Look'N4Ward !!!

Your going to Love having a "second summer" this year in the Rio Grand Valley... enjoy it all winter long. Take the time while your down that way to check out the ohhh soooo many Parks in the area, I believe the Valley has over 600 parks... I've no doubt your going to see several Heartland RVs in many of them.

Have a safe drive southbound.

Hey Marv...we know that area pretty well, and I think you will LOVE it there! Rockport is a great area with lots to do...in fact, we almost bought a lot in Aransas Pass, but the development fell apart...long story...that's how we ended up in RGV.

Remember seeing Beacon RV Park, and it seems like a nice place...enjoy!!

P.S. we got to discuss our "trip" to SD sometime over the winter...;)

We're going to be at Countryside RV & Mobile Home Park In Donna, TX. for our second year there. No pool, but lots of good people and lots of things to do. Very reasonable too. We have good friends that have been full-timing for 20 yrs. and all but the first three have been there at Countryside.
