Soft spot under pedestal post base

I have a 2011 21FBS and had to replace the dining room pedestal bases, there was soft spots under the bases. I pulled down the belly pan and everything is dry. My dining room table is opposite the kitchen sink should I tear up the floor to see what’s going on underneath.

Maybe drilling a series of small holes between the 2 spots that you could test for wood softness, and fill in after, might be an idea.
