SOLVED: Activating Awning AC Receptacle

If you have already reset the GFI in the bathroom or wherever it happens to be in your rig then you may have to do a little investigation.
GFI receptacles are daisy chained together so, with your rig disconnected from shore power and the generator turned off take a look at all other GFI receptacles and make sure there is not a wire that has come off.
Have you pulled and looked at the back of the receptacle in question?

Congrats on your Newport and welcome to the Heartland family.
That AC outlet is usually "switched". There should be an wall switch in the switch panel area marked "Awning Outlet" or "Awning Switch" (or similar). Give that switch a try, then try the outlet. The premise here is that you can hang lights on your awning or around your site, then control it from indoors.
