SOLVED: No hot water

Just had my 5th wheel in for some maintenance. I now have no hot water.
The water heater is working but no hot water at the faucets. I have checked
the outside shower and they are both closed. The bypass valves are OK in the UDC.
They replaced the water pump but we are now on city water. Just wondering if
there is another bypass other than the one in the UDC. They said they didn't do
anything to the plumbing or the water heater. Must be something they did as everything
worked four days ago.

Re: No hot water

When you say no hot water, does that mean no water at all?
Depending on what model 5th wheel you have, there may be a bypass behind the wall.
I agree, if they worked on the plumbing they most likely caused your problem.

Peace
Dave

Re: No hot water

If you have no hot water anywhere check the check valve on the outlet at the top of the hot water tank, it is stuck.

Re: No hot water

Finally figured this out. Took the hot water bypass apart and it was full of all kinds of yuck.
After talking with service rep he said the only reason for no hot water when the heater is
working is the bypass valve or the check valve.

A good reason to filter the water prior to entering any fixtures in the coach...
