Sticky substance on Bighorn Aluminum Wheels

I left my tires covered for a couple years while I was sick. Now there is a sticky substance in places on them. Anyone seen this? If so what takes it off.

A wild guess here. I could be from the tires and BTW, if they are Towmax get rid of them ASAP. Road tar remover might work.

Wild guess.........maybe the covers began to deteriorate.

Or, do you have any Cottonwood trees nearby? I have found the residue from Cottonwoods can leave a sticky substance all over everything and get blown into small areas.

I would just get a good solvent free cleaner and scrub them up. Trace
