You've posted on a 4 year old thread, but I'm sure a lot of people will still see your post. One way to answer your question is to use the tools at http://www.fifthwheelst.com/ which is a website developed by another Heartland owner.
Basically, you need to be concerned with how much weight your truck can pull, and also how much weight can be put on the hitch. To get to the answer, you'll need the trailer GVWR, which is it's maximum weight, and also the pin weight, which you may have to get by weighing the rig. The website can help with the how-to part. I believe there's also a link to find out the 5th wheel towing, and payload specs for the truck.
It's possible that someone might have a similar configuration and already know the answer, but working through the numbers for yourself can bring a lot of peace of mind.
