Heartland RV issued a recall for certain model year 2013-2014 Sundance travel trailers, model 322 RES, manufactured Sept. 13, 2012, through April 30, 2013. The axles are mounted too far forward on the frame, which may cause improper trailer balance while towing. Improper trailer balance may lead to uncontrollable trailer sway, increasing the risk of a crash, property damage or personal injury.
Heartland will notify owners and the trailers will be returned to the factory where axles will be moved rearward, free of charge. Owners may contact Heartland Recreational Trailers’ Warranty/Service Department by e-mail at parts@heartlandrvs.com, or by phone at 1-877-262-8032. Heartland’s recall campaign number is 99-01-12.
