Mine are telescoping and had plenty of length.
Perhaps you need to return the one you have and buy one that provide a bit more telescoping length.
I bought the 43/80, as I was sure the 33/60 (5 feet) wouldn't be long enough.
Based on another users recommendation, I bought mine from www.dwincorp.com

LOL...the trick was to look as which forum he posted this in...which is "waste water system / Super Slider"
It is the after market tube that you attach to your RV to hold a second sewer hose.
