Tire replacement, size not found

I have Towmax tires and want to replace them. They are ST 235/80R16. The only replacement for that size is ST Goodyear Marathon. I cannot find any other brand or LT tires that size. I hate to buy new wheels too.

Any suggestions?

Go with a 235/85/R16 LT tire. They will fit just fine and work with your rims..I'm on my second set...trouble free...Don

Take a look at the Brigdestone Duravis. It is a commercial truck/van tire that was recommended to me about a year ago after oue 3rd Blowmax went. So far I have been pleased with them after only about 9000 miles.

For your rig; go with Goodyear g614, you will be glad you did. Your rims probably are 3750 lb and 110 psi rated and this tire matches them.

Jim, it's doubtful a Sundance has wheels that will handle the 110psi tire. The Original Poster must check his rims for the stamp that says 3750 or 110 psi.

It would be more dangerous to put G614s on a rim that cannot handle it.

If he has 16 inch E-rated tires such as the ones listed in the following specs, then he has T04 8 lug rims. But he need to verify the rim for 110 psi capability so that he does not have a 110 psi dismount.

I'm not sure why you say "based on the tire size he has T04 8 lug rims". I had the same tire spec, but my rig came with T03 8 lug rims, which are rated at 80psi, and my coach is rated 850lbs heavier than his Sundance.

Today's specs for the Sundance don't mean that previous year's models will have the same wheels.

Anyone looking at changing tires needs to look at the stamp on their wheels, and if not found, look on Tredit Tire (the wheel supplier for Heartland) for the specs. http://www.tredittire.com/Aluminum-Wheels-C10.aspx

The T03 Sendel rim is an 8 bolt 3750 lb rim in an 8 bolt. and like I said he must insure that it can carry 110 PSI pressure. See for yourself.
BTW I have no doubt that it has a 110 PSI rating. But it is best to check it out. The Treadit site that you sent him to is for a 6 lug.

Gee, your link shows the wheel at 80psi.

And the spec according to Tredit, the wheel supplier for Heartland, whom I also called and verified:

That is a TowMax load rating, not the Sendel T03 style rim with 8 lugs. That is a 6 bolt hub that is rated at 3580 lb load rating. T03 and T04 are style numbers. 8 on 6.5 is the hub. That hub is rated for 3750.

Like I said one must check the PSI rating before buying them. But further research shows ambiguity in the data, it appears that IF he has the T03 and not the T04 then the rim is not suitable for the G614 in either load rating and definitely not in PSI rating. Like I said ealier and it applies to all tire changes, one must look for the definitive answer casted into the back of the inted use wheels.

Thank for straightening me out on this. Of course this all based on him having the T03 wheel as you do. Which, like you said is probably the case. But like I said in the beginning one must check the casting information on his own wheels to insure tire fitment of any kind. It does not diminish the fact that the G614 is a great choice for him if his wheels are spec'ed for it. I have 4 3750 110 PSI T04's and a steel wheel sitting in my garage with 5 Chinese "willpop" tires, that will never go anywhere except craigslist.
