Tracking down Hydraulic Leak

Hello,

I'm trying to hunt down the source of a hydraulic leak that. I'm seeing fluid accumulate on the outside of my hyd lines. I've wiped them down several times but the fluid keeps appearing. The rig has not moved/traveled, but I have adjusted the level from time to time. I am seeing fluid accumulate at several low points, that are between metal risers with no fittings, leading me to start to wonder if the fluid is seeping out of the hoses themselves.

I'm wondering if anyone else has seen anything similar or had any ideas. I energized the kitchen slide slightly, but have not seen fresh fluid or anything that would explain the fluid leaking.


The picture of the insulation is where some fluid has accumulated.

On an unrelated note, what grease is recommended for the kitchen slide gears?

This is on a 2016 Big Country 3800 FL with the Lippert 6 point level up system.

about all you can do is continue looking, wrap paper towel around a hose or two try a function & look at the paper towel. Process of elimination done that many times on logging equipment hoses & yes hoses will seep/weep before they burst. Good luck.

Back about your time period, heartland had issues with the ends on the lines not being crimped enough. Heartland made their own lines back then. My rig is older than yours, and I had to replace all of the lines to the cylinders, as they had broken down and were sweating fluid thru the lines due to age.

Thanks for the inputs. I had new hoses made at a local shop and replaced them all. I only want to go through this once.
