Trouble Shooting Fantastic Fan

I have a 2018 Bighorn 3160el. The Fantastic Fan will operate if manually open the cover. However, the wall controller does not work or turn on.. Do I simply need to replace the controller?

Take a look at the control knob on the fan. If it’s not in the right position (in or out), the fan becomes manual and doesn’t answer the wall controller.

The thermostat should be set to the temperature you want it to open at.
So if you want it to open just move the little temperature set lever a little bit and wait a few seconds for the vent to open.
If you move the set lever to 90° it will not open unless the ambient temperature of 90°.
You could just add a simple on/off switch.

If yours has the oval shaped control with buttons, you may have batteries that have died.

Also, there may be a rain sensor on top that could be dirty.

Manually raising the vent top, going on the roof with rubbing alcohol and a rag, and scrubbing down the open PC board and circuit foils rain sensor got rid of the same problem for me.
