I have a 2012 Road Warrior and I have a water drip coming from underneath the slide that houses the fridge...any suggestions?

Hi buyradio,

I assume since it's a 2012, that you have either a Dometic or Norcold refrigerator, with ice maker.

There's a good chance the 1/4" poly water feed line to the refrigerator is leaking. If it hasn't been winterized, it may have suffered freeze damage last winter. Or it may just have sprung a leak.

The cutoff valves are usually found either in the kitchen, under a cabinet, or behind the UDC (you have to take down the rear wall of the basement storage next to the UDC).

You need to turn the feed line OFF and evacuate the water between the cutoff valve and the solenoid on the back of the refrigerator.

If the poly line is the problem, you may want to replace it with a metal-braided 1/4" feed line.

Might depend on where your cutoff valve is located. But if it's behind the UDC, you should be able to use the poly to pull it outside and get it positioned under the frame. The harder part is routing it through the bottom of the slide to get up to the frig. You might be able to pull it using the poly, but a coat hanger might work better in that area.

Mines under the sink. I wonder if fish tape would work and attach the new line to it and pull it through? Its a shame to have the ice maker and water through the door and be afraid to use because of the fear of the line breaking and flooding the camper.

Our Landmark developed a leak under the refrigerator justafter the first year of warranty. CalledHeartland to see if it was covered in the second year, have not heard fromthem. Also have extended service planwith CW, they recommended I fix it myself. Pulled the refrigerator out and found the cut line. Removed the cut line spliced it back togetherand added an additional cutoff valve behind the draw next to therefrigerator.
