Water hose

I like the idea of being able to coil it up better than a vinyl hose, BUT the down side to the Zero G hose (at least to me) is that it doesn't appear to be able to be wiped down very easy when packing up compared to vinyl.

For our drinking water, I use the heavy duty hoses from RV Water Filter Store, with stainless steel fittings. I coil up the excess on a hose rack next to the rig and keep it out of the dirt. I'll put a white garbage bag over it to keep it protected, too. Since I don't leave my water filtration equipment in the rig over the winter, I clean everything before putting it away and sanitizing is done at home before the start of the season using a diluted bleach solution in the laundry tub.

Last season, was the first time I did the Purogene sanitizing of the system and water tank (was just flushing with a bleach solution before, after flushing the AF out)). Although we don't use the water tank for drinking, I keep 30 gallons in it over the summer for flushing the toilet if the power goes down and the CG's city water pumps are off.

I also used the hoses from the Water Filter Store. I purchased them in several lengths. I kept all of my water hoses and fittings in a clear plastic tub. Just pick out the hose length that you need at your next stop. I had a gray hose from HD to wash down the trailer and any other not drinking water jobs

Be careful with those zero g hoses. We have had two different ones get contaminated to a point the inside of the hose started sloughing off and plugged both of the water filters and the inlet screen on our regulator. It happened on two different hoses at two different rv parks in two different states. The second time it happened was in CO and the park manager tested the water coming out of the spicket against the water coming through the hose. The water had bacteria through the hose, none without. He then tested my other zero g hose and same thing. I use that hose to wash the rig with now and went back to a white one with stainless steel ends. No issues since then.
I had the same problem.
Hose's were made in China.
They failed internally and the debris made it up to the ice maker. I installed a water filter and never purchased that line of hose's.

I called the Zero-G tech support to get their side of the story, talked with Nancy of customer support. It may be a shocker, but she claimed she had not received any reports of a failure in the hose that would cause mold or particles to break off and collect in filters or ice makers. She did admit that they had a few that developed holes and replaced the product. The assumption that made in China is an automatic indicator of poor quality took me back to when made in Japan was a scapegoat for poor quality or product malfunction, especially electronics.
