Water pump M260

My wife and I took our recently purchased M260 out for its maiden voyage. We were using water from our fresh water tank. I noticed the water pump would switch on about every minute or two for a few seconds. Is this normal?

No, your pump is trying to recover from lost pressure, i.e., a leak in the system.

either a leak or air still in system, run your hot water little bit =, if air is in the HW tank that should purge it out. Keep a lookout for a leak could be anywhere in the piping. Good luck

A leak could certainly be possible. You could pressure test the system via a compressor and pressure gauge to see if it's holding pressure properly. If you notice that you are losing pressure, you could spray all the connections with soapy water to see if you can find the source of the leak.

I will say, that our water pump does the same thing, and the longer we use it, the less it happens as all the air is purged from the lines. Our water pump has a failed check valve though, so take that for what it's worth.
