Water valve

We have a 2008 3490 bhs 5th wheel. When we hook up 2 city water its filling our fresh water holding tank and over flowing. Can someone plz tell me why??? Or how to fix this??? Please

There is a check valve in your water pump and it sounds like yours has failed.
You can get a Sharkbite check valve for PEX. Sharkbite is a brand that just slips on the PEX. PEX is the plumbing tubing in your trailer. Red and blue.
Install it at the inbound side of your water pump.

As 2008 RVs do not have the 4-way Anderson Valve, your problem is in the water pump.
