Wheel Bearings???

Picked up our new Sundance 2800RL a couple weeks ago & we love it. Had it out for a 3 dayer & it rained pretty much non stop. Good news is - no leaks and all worked well. I was wondering (As I am a maintenance freak) if there were zerk fittings on the wheel bearings. There are caps on the center hub so I'm hoping there are. Thanks in advance, Bill

guitarpicr, it's good to hear all went well on your 3 dayer..........well except for the rain.
I would take the cap off on the center hub and have a look. If there are zerks, be sure to follow the guidlines for greasing. That is, turning the wheel while greasing and don't overdo it.
I personally wont use that feature. I prefer to take the wheel off and repack by hand. I get to check the brakes and inpect the bearings and seals when the hub is off.
It's your call.

Peace

The Sundance model comes with the ez lube zerks.

It is very important to raise each wheel and spin it when inserting the grease. If you buy an inexpensive grease gun like I did, I am sure that you will not be able to exert an excessive amount of pressure when pumping the handle.

I did my bearings this summer and did not experience any problems.

Sorry I couldn't get back to you yesterday. For some reason I couldn't get on the Forum.
We have the EZ Lube axles and they do have the zerk fittings. I'm not a specialist in this area but it sounds like some people on the Forum are.

Thanks,
