We have always purchased at the RVIA Shows, as they are sponsored by the mfgs, and can usually make a really good deal. they may have rebates to the consumer or they have special programs for the dealers.

We shopped around and we're guaranteed the lowest price from our dealer so time of the year doesn't really matter if you do your homework.

Good luck on your purchase.

I have found in the midwest, South Dakota, Nebraska area, there is a short window. After Labor Day and before the snowbirds buy new rvs to head south. We found September to be the best months for deals. Every part of the country is different. In Arizona the dealers will start finally getting serious in March, before the snowbirds and the dealers leave the state.

We found here in the Mid-West the best time to buy was Sept. just before the end of the season. Our dealer was really wanting to git rid of all his 2012 models since he was jamed packed with all the new 2013's. The Friday before Labor Day weekend was the dealers big push before what they considered "the end of the season". We purchaced our 2012 Cyclone 3712CK for below dealers cost! If you live in a cold climate I would say anytime between now thru Feb. is a great time to buy.

We bought our Sundance last November during the end of year sale for a great price. (About 35 - 40% off MSRP) The only drawback was that our orientation/PDI was also last November, so some things were a little fuzzy in May when we finally got to use the trailer! (Thanks Heartland Forum for everybody's help!) Also it was kind of a waste of 6 months of the 1 year warranty - our warranty started the day we signed the papers "taking delivery" even though it sat on the dealer's lot until May. The bottom line for us was finding the perfect trailer for our needs at WAY below the price we expected to pay. Do your research, make a list of everything you need (and want), set your budget, find a dealer you trust, and have fun looking! If you start now and don't find "the one," you'll still have the spring RV shows, and you'll have some definite ideas of what you like and don't like. Happy shopping!

35%-45% off is about the standard discount from MSRP that you see. I have rarely seen more. This seems to be the standard discount from the deep discounters so you shouldn't have a problem getting that. It's usual the other odds and ends that get you, the add ons, minor mods you want, good PDI from the dealer, dealer responsiveness to you etc.
