Which side of WhisperQuiet AC has the filters?

Folks, it's February 19, it's 84 and no breeze to speak of, and I had to turn on the AC for the first time in our BC 4010RD (since PDI in Jan). I noticed half the vents have the foam filters, but they are on the vents that blow the air. That seems wrong. I am switching them to the Off Door side, the intake side of the WhisperQuiet AC system. Is this correct?

Thanks in advance.

Can't help you but to say I have been alternating between heat and AC since early January here in swla. What you say sounds familiar thought that the intake is on off day or side, not sure where I heard that though.

Ours have the filters on the intake side. And folks check them every now and then LOLOLOLOL....I keep forgetting and they do get dirty.

Hi Erika,

The filters should definitely be on the intake side. Sounds like maybe your ductwork is opposite of the Landmark 365. That's got to make it pretty easy for manufacturing to make a mistake.

Opposite? Yes our AC blows out the door side.

I just swapped all the vent covers. The filters are secured to the covers. Popped them off, really easy. Took 5 min.

Funny thing is I was just looking at a 2016 Big Horn and the guy told me the intake is on the curb side and output is on the drivers side. Pretty easy to change them I would think.

Our intake is door side, blows out the off door side. The filters are on the door side ( intake ). I went to Lowe's and they sell a mesh, where the sell air purifiers (not furnace filters ), like the air "filter" material and made a set of spares. This way I can quickly change them out and then wash and clean the filter and allow it time to dry before putting them back in.

Good idea, thanks!
