Yellowing shelves in the Frigidaire...

Hello fellow RVers,

Has anyone had a similar issue with shelves in the Frigidaire yellowing over time? I'm trying some different chemicals.

That's fairly bad considering this takes alot of time to pregress to this stage. Usually this can be sped up by lots of off time, and warm ambient temps when the unit is off and or closed up. Judging from the Logo n the bucket, the fridge may be 8-12 years old?

Plastic can yellow due to an increased exposure to ultraviolet light, but it can also be due to excess heat, humidity, the cold, and other extreme temperatures and environments.

Yes, the Big Country is 2015 but the 5th wheel sat for 5 years. We're just getting everything back up to snuff.

Yes, up here in Maine, I am sure the temperature variations went from 100 degrees to well below freezing for 5 years.

Anyone know if Frigidaire offers a set of new drawers for these models? Frigidaire Gallery Model FGHC2331PFAA

there is no chemical other than paint to get them the color you want.... all the plastic lights, stove vent exit, ac covers, plumbing vent caps and all other plastic parts on the outside of the rv will yellow in time also, but by painting them when they're new, they stay white and dont get brittle.... or mask and paint them after they turn yellow and brittle, and they will at least look better....

any other chemical will not help, but there are some that can damage the plastic beyond use.... paint is the best option

Well, the bucket is a piecemeal for parts, and the white front is discontinued. That's as far as I got.
