Gap between th e od slide and the toilet room wall

Do all 3580's have a large gap between the ODS (kitchen) slide and the wall for the toilet room. We noticed it in a walk thru of one. The only thing I saw was a thin rubber w/strip mounted vertically on the toilet wall. Is this normal or is there something missing.
