I have the honor of raising the flags each morning here at Escalante State Park, UT. Today at half mast in honor of Peace Officers Memorial Day.

Proud sister of former officers

You know how many of us say "Thank You for your service" when we encounter a veteran? I think that we ought to extend this thanks to peace officers and firefighters who are out there 24 x 7, protecting all of us. I especially think about this during the holidays when I am home snug celebrating, and they are out there on patrol away from their families, all hours of the day.
