It is not a bad install. Very much the same as the install on the older 48RE transmission. If you go to http://www.genosgarage.com they can help with all of the items needed to install correctly. Have you looked at a Scanguage? It simply plugs into your OBDII port and will provide you with a wealth of information in addition to the transmission temperature. http://www.scangauge.com
Simply plug and play and probably a lot cheaper that the actual guage you are looking at after installation costs

I checked that link and it did not indicate it will measure transmission temp.
I see that it only shows the transmission temperature for Ford and GM.
I bought it when I had a Chev 1500 which did not have a temperature guage. I now have a 2500 which does so I now use it to see other measurements, such as horsepower and current mileage rating.
