Hello All,
Long story short I was full timing in my Sundance 2900MK fifth wheel on the West coast. Work has since moved me to the east coast, was supposed to be temporary so I left my camper in storage. Now I'm here permanently and don't have the 2+ weeks vacation it would take to drive out...
Hello All,
I have a question about my gooseneck adapter, please pardon my lack of knowledge as I'm away from my camper and don't have the specifics. What I'm wondering is, how hard is it to remove the adapter? I'm planning on selling my camper and know that many don't have a gooseneck and may...
I'm going to be putting my fifth wheel into storage for the first time this week. I looked around the battery for a switch but didn't see one. I did see some wires leading out of the battery and connecting to different areas, didn't know if I should remove those connections. If anyone has...
I Have a 2012 Sundance 5th wheel, I have on a temporary job assignment here in Wisconsin and now just found out that I will need to be moving to Washington state in the next few days. My question is, will I do any harm bringing my slides in with temperatures below freezing? I have made sure...
Well, I replaced the rocker switch and no luck. Still no hot water. Tried called suburban, but of course they are closed for the holidays. Guess I'll try again next week. Would really like to get it fixed so I'm not using all my propane heating the water in the cold weather.
danemayer: Thank you for all the good advice. I bought some extra insulation today to put in the basement. I'm also looking into some heat tape and possibly tank heater. I'm hoping I'll be able to head west soon where it will still be cold, but not down into the sub zero temperatures. I do...
Hello all,
I am new to most of this. Have some experience as a kid, but not much knowledge. Although I do find this site extremely helpful.
I travel for work and am constant moving so I invested and bought a Sundance 2900MK to live in. I was hoping to head south for the winter months, but...
I did check the white wire to the element with the electricity off. I was unable to check the element with the electricity on because the ground is not visible and I am unsure where to find it. I did check the breaker, both switches and thermostat with power off and i'm getting good...
The model I have is a SW-10 DEM.
I changed the electric element again to make sure that wasn't the problem it wasn't still no hot water. The anode rod looks good. I do have a new rocker switch coming to see if that is the problem.
How do you no which connections on the back of the rocker...
I have a suburban water heater.
Before I go all electrical crazy, i'm going to replace the element again and anode rod to be sure it's not that. I went to the local hardware store and they had a element that was a slightly higher wattage of 1500, my suburban one is 1440. Also the one from...
Yes all switches are in there proper positions.
I'll try testing the element with electricity on. But why would a brand new element not work? The tank was full before I turned everything on and the reading is fine with the electricity off.
Well after moving from one campsite to another my hot water heater quit working on the electric side. I replaced the element, but still no hot water. I've turned off the electricity at the break and used my multi-meter to check the thermostat and rocker switch. Getting good readings at both...
Well it's been 48 hours and no hot water :(
I've checked the valves, they are correct. Checked all the wires between the water heater and the breaker/fuse box.
I made sure there was water in the tank and both switches are on. The red light is on the switch inside.
What am I missing. Could...
Oh boy what an adventure. I thought I had the tank drained although not really sure how to do that. Used the relief valve on the outside of the tank . Anyway was able to get the element out without issue and there was water that came out as some said it would however, I did not know that water...
