This isn't a direct answer to your question. But perhaps using an adapter that allows you to use a cordless drill to run the scissor jacks up and down would be an improvement. Here's a link to one on Amazon

You and Bill are on the right track. I've had no problems with the shower in my Landmark, but did have similar problems in a shower in my first sticks and brick house. The floor of the shower wasn't supported well and it flexed until it eventually cracked. The tub repair person I hired...

If you are tight on space, here's another idea. Refill your small propane tanks from your main tank instead of disposing of them. Link I've refilled tanks for years for our Boy Scout Troop. The key is getting the small tank very cold before filling.
