Hi Diana Howard Payne had their "foggy windows" repaired by Suncoast Designers in Hudson FL. He wrote a very good blog entry about the process. You can find it here. HTH, Keith

    How much propane???

Well, not quite... It is generally recommended to only discharge your batteries to no more than 50%. Anything more and you shorten the life of the battery. So, than would mean you should only have 95 - 125 AH for the Group 31 batteries. Ronn, take a look at "The 12volt Side of Life". It is...

ERROR CODE -Low Voltage On LevelUp- Any ideas for a newbie???

Jerry, Please do make sure your battery has a good charge before pulling out. Your emergency brakes use the Landmark battery. Not that you should expect to have an emergency, but for safety sake it needs to be charged. Keith

ATF: MPG - Fridge on Gas Mode

I don't think there is a good answer for your question. It depends on the size of your battery and the phantom loads in your trailer. Take a look at "The 12 Volt Side of Life". Be sure to read both pages, then you can probably do some calculations and find an answer to your question. Keith

    ATF: Landmark - Vent Pipes

Hi all, Is Heartland using ABS pipe for the vent? If so you might also want to keep in mind that a 10 foot piece of ABS pipe will expand/contract about 1/4" for a 40 degree temperature change. So if you fasten it solid at the roof with sealant or caulking where does that expansion go when the...

    5th gear in the f-350

We don't have a Diesel or a 350, but Ford Explorer 6-spd with about 95,000 miles on it. At about 65,000 it stated stuttering/clunking going between 3rd and 4th. My son informed me that the computer completely controls this so I took it to the dealer and they "had to re-teach the computer"...

    Ceiling Fan Mounting Box

Jim, Yea I knew you weren't "knocking Heartland". We own a Hardware Store and I've been dealing with the do it yourself-er for 40+ years. I come down hard on anybody who does a bonehead mistake like that so I naturally overreacted when I saw your picture. Overall I will say I have been very...

    Ceiling Fan Mounting Box

Jim, All I can say is WOW!!! I am really disappointed to see a picture like that. I've been looking at Heartland as a possible FW for us after retirement. I can understand someone missing an occasional screw, but there is no excuse for putting the wire in like that. NONE! It should never...

    A/C generator

Bret & Mike, You say you run your 15K A/C using two Honda 2000's. Question, what was the elevation you typically do this at? I think I remember hearing that it would work fine at lower elevations, but once you get about 7,000ft it wouldn't work. Have either of you had that experience...

    Draining the coroplast

Thanks for the extra information Larry. Yes I am familiar with user forums and realize they are sometimes used as a place to vent... (I have been reading all the posts since Oct.) We currently have a TrailManor (a kind of popup with hard sides). We love it, but we will be retiring in a...
