What did you do to your camper today?

No photos, but this past weekend I installed a new 12v converter, new battery, and cleaned the contacts on the automatic transfer switch.. All is working fine now! I'm thinking that we may have experienced a power surge or something at the last place we stayed, and it fried our converter and...

    Understanding RCA Jacks

A lot of newer TV's aren't using the Yellow/Red/White cables anymore... They are mostly going to HDMI and possibly composite/component setup.. I just learned this the other day when putting a new tv in my son's bedroom. Had to ditch the old dvd player that didn't have either of those...

    Black Tank Flush

There should be no connection from black tank flush to the fresh tank at all. Due to sanitary reasons of course. Are sure you had the hose hooked to the correct input??

Andersen 5th wheel adapter - thoughts?

Is anyone using the rail mount Andersen hitch? It seems to be cheaper, and I already have the rail adapter for my truck and haven't bought a gooseneck ball yet.

    Lippert Hydraulic Jack Issue

I would agree that it's probably the auto reset breaker tripping. Your battery may be weak and causing high amperage under load.

Level Up 6-point leveling system issues

Not sure if it's your issue, but to start the auto level function, the front of the trailer should be higher than level. That said, my auto level hasn't worked since I bought my trailer and I've only manually leveled it since I've owned it.

    OMG i am over weight.

I'm fairly sure 5th wheel weight is idealy between 15-25% range. And my findings are that toy haulers are heavier on the pin weight. My assumption is that with the toy in the back, it will offset some of the weight, but I haven't had a chance to weigh with my UTV in the back of my toy hauler...

    Waste Water Lesson#1

Yep. I kept getting some surprise water when removing my cap, so I purchased a twist on valve to eliminate that issue. Some folks also use this in order to open both gray tanks to "equalize" them when boondocking between dump stations to maximize gray capacity.

    Manually extend Care Free Awning

The manual states on the motorized versions the manual override can only be used to RETRACT the awning and not to extend it. https://manuals.heartlandowners.org/manuals/Exterior/Awnings/Carefree/Carefree%20Awning%20Freedom-WM-Owners-Manual.pdf

Furrion Backup vs Observation Camera - difference?

To answer your question the difference is the back up camera only works when you are backing up in reverse. The observation can be on all the time, even while driving on the highway to "observe" what's behind you. If/when I get a camera, it will be the observation camera, as they also help you...

    Cyclone Electric Bunk Operation

As mentioned, you just have to get the bed up above the holes, and the upper bed just sits on top of the pins once you lower the bottom bunk. The rear pins are a pain in my RW also, and I'm 6'2". Get you a good step stool or something to stand on safely on the angled dovetail part, and a...

    Hydraulics question (Embarrassed) lol

I had no idea about the valves, because I have electric slides. But I just learned some good info for if I ever get a rig with hydraulic slides! As for the fluid level, you want all the legs and slides to be retracted in before filling. As they extend, your fluid is going into the cylinders...
