If we hauled with a full tank (or even a half tank) I would NEVER trust the factory set up under there. One good bump in the road and the whole tank would come out.
Over the past Memorial weekend we pulled into an Indiana State Park, filled our water tank, and got into our site. Behold! The left front landing leg would not lower! Anyway I jumped one of the solenoid and got unhook. (even managed to get fairly level) :)
once we got home I traced the problem...
Installed a screen door handle cross bar for the Commander. Camco part # 42186. Pretty straight forward install. Less than 20 bucks off amazon and less than 20 minutes to install and the Commander happy. :)
You are right. A simple pat on the back usually goes a long way. I always send out kudos to the dealer (and sometimes corporate if the service was over the top). In fact I sent out a Christmas card to the kid who worked on my truck last December and a letter to the service manager. This motor...
Thanks everyone. We got our issues fixed! A motor mount wasn't broken, it was loose! Guess who's gonna get this bill and a big ol' ear full of the commander? That's right. The Ford dealer who just did our oil pan in Dec. Anyway the whole crew at Don Franklin Ford in London Ky were fantastic...
WOW! Thank God nobody was hurt. We are still waiting on the wrecker who was supposed to tow the truck to the Ford dealer. He was supposed to be here an hour ago but it's pouring rain so I'd say he's drinking coffee until the rain stops. Talked with the dea;er. They're waiting on me! Tell John to...
Thanks for the info. Hopefully Ol' faithful will get proper care in the AM and we can be on our way. :) The Wal Mart here gave us the ok to have the 5th wheel here until at least tomorrow. They really have been terrific. We had the pleasure meeting Neale & Leslie at the recent Kentucky rally...
We did that last month! HaHa. My club boss said maybe she is sabotaging ol' faithful herself to make it LOOK like it's time to just get the new one without just saying "let's get a new one" LOL
Thanks Keith, yep! The Commander called a guy twice! Like I said the last 30 hours has been the most stressful we have had while traveling! Coach Net has been awesome! I mean awesome! The even called ahead to the Wal-Mart we are at to make sure it was ok to be here for at least 24 hours...
What an adventure filled 30 hrs it has been! Finally got towed off I-75 N (thanks coach net) Got us in the Wal-Mart in London Kentucky can't get in to the Ford dealer until in the AM. Don Franklin Ford anyone in Heartland land in the area have a review of their service dept. I guess it's a brand...
While I have zero knowledge of heavy barking = tripped breaker, I may have knowledge of it to = early morning straight pipe check. Just kidding!!
Even though it's almost impossible for us to say for sure this far out, and Junes are tough for us to find time, the Commander and I really want to make this rally! :)
I did that about the first 20 annoying mythical non barking dogs (after speaking with their owners) with out much luck. So now I know there is a 99% chance that there will be at least one of these mythical beast where ever we may go. I'll usually say something only to the owner (to which the...
So once again I sit trying to enjoy my morning coffee here in this nice campground. The aroma of the coffee is amazing. The scent of the fresh air from the over night rain brings a relaxing and fond memory then, as is far to often the case, my relaxation is interrupted by the "Mythical Non...
Just wanted to say thanks for the great time! So glad the Commander and I got a chance to hang out for a couple of nights at the Kentucky rally. It was great meeting everyone and seeing a few ol' friends again as well. We made it safely to our destination here in Georgia. Thanks again!
Safe...
Hmm. You can turn them on with out the ceiling light switch on? They would have to be run straight to a hot and I would have no clue why they have been wired that way. None of our ceiling lights can be turned on without the ceiling light switch being on. We do have them set up so only one side...
On our Cyclone it is curb side under the basement door. It has a black rubber plug in it. Not sure if they are all in the same basic location or not though.
Sweet P and I are in! Coming in on the 20th leaving Saturday morning the 22nd. We got off to the side so as to not bust up the party. Site 20. Looking forward to seeing and meeting everyone.
Safe travels. :)
After my muscular dystrophy diagnosis we went from bed rolls on the handle bars to a motorcycle trailer and tents, then to hotels (which we hate). Then the Commander said: Lets get a toy hauler! So we bought a SOB tag along which was great for a long weekend but we had to take the bikes out of...
If your going to haul your bike(s) and not ride them with a bed roll on the handle bars, get the Cyclone or Road Warrior if you prefer and never look back. We had to stop riding our bikes (or at least I did) on extended travels due to my health. We tried all different options and having a toy...
Finally getting around to installing vent covers. The Commander don't have to remind me every three years...I'll get it!
I had pictures of the install with all the tools required but they must have got hurled into the "great void" somewhere. I'll redo on the next vent if anybodies...
Wanting to put together a filter and softener system. Hoping you good folks could/would confirm that I'm tracking on the component setup: Regulator - Softener - sediment filter - carbon filter. Would that be the proper component sequence or am I planet hopping on this?
Thanks all. :)
The Commander and I are heading to Georgia the weekend of this rally and will be going right by here Saturday morning sooooo she is going to see if she can swing a couple more days and if she can we are going to attend coming in on Thursday the 20th and pulling out early Saturday the 22nd to...
