    Holding Tanks Panel

The holding tank gauges are notably inaccurate. Most users have their own method of monitoring the tank levels. For me, when water is up to my ankles while in the shower it's time to drain that tank. When my wife says the kitchen sink won't drain, it's time to drain that tank. When flushing the...

Yes you can remove those. They are held on with screws using a #2 square driver bit. Look closely in the fabric. Peace Dave

Suspension Bushings, Centre Point, Wet Bolts - What To Use?

A bunch of years back I replaced the worn out OEM bushings and bolts with a wet bolt kit including bronze bushings. A few years after that I had to replace my springs. A few of the bronze bushings came out in pieces. Another failure. So then I installed the NeverFail bushings with wet bolts...

    Hail Storm Damage Advice

Just call your insurance agent, they will send out an adjuster to look at the damage. Two years ago at the rally in Goshen a hail storm came through and there was a lot of damage. Adjusters came right to the campground. TravelTiger had their roof replaced due to hail damage in Texas. I expect a...

    Tire Monitoring System

While I don't have the Lippert brand TPMS I did need 12 volts for my system. I just tapped into a 12 volt wire in the front closet. So I think 12 volts is 12 volts no matter where it comes from. Peace Dave

    Converter fan issue!

The fan runs to cool the converter. If your fan runs full time my first thought was what is the condition of your battery. It's the electrolyte up to the proper level? Are the battery terminals clean and tight? How old is the battery? Does the battery take and hold the charge? Peace Dave

Air conditioner vibrating thru the ceiling

It seems that when there is an annoying vibration it's a sign that the fan is out of balance. Could be caused by an insect nest on one of the blades. I suggest pulling the cover off and inspecting the fan blades along with everything else up there. Peace Dave

    Check your shackle bolts!!!

This is from etrailer. If you are using 9/16 inch shackle bolts which are the most common you will want 65 to 95 foot pounds of torque. If you are using 1/2 inch then go for 45 to 70 foot pounds. And for 5/8 inch bolts use 100 to 120 foot pounds. This is also from etrailer. There...

    Check your shackle bolts!!!

Thanks for calling attention to this. Curious, do you have wet bolts? I've lost two shackle bolts, one lost on the road and one was in two pieces still in the spring. Broke at the grease hole. Peace Dave

Slide Out motor pulled off the wall

First, if you purchased your rig new it should be covered by warranty. Normally to bring an electric slide in manually there is a flex hex head tool that goes into the motor and it is then turned with a drill. But since your motor is off the wall that is not an option. The only way I can think...

    Cable/Satellite TV connection RL250

If you have a slide and don't have a separate satellite input you can probably sneak the coax in between the slide wiper seals and the slide wall. You can also find a more permanent solution by installing something like this. Peace Dave

Tires have rubbed the bottom of the trailer at some point on new Pioneer RE275

Centerline mentioned a broken leaf, along with that make sure your springs have an arch and are not flat. Hitting a deep pot hole might compress the springs enough to allow the ties to move enough and hit the sheet metal. Peace Dave

Ideas to fix a Soft spot in floor of Landmark

Without seeing your floor it's kinda hard to make a diagnosis, but, I can offer what I found in my Bighorn. When my rig was built they had to remove some of the laminated foam on the underside of the floor to run some plumbing. It wasn't always a soft spot so I'm guessing that over time the...

    Refrigerator replacement

I've done it on my Bighorn. Pretty easy but I suggest that you scope out the route that you current water line takes. If you can access all areas then go for it. Mine started at the UDC, when down in the belly, out the frame and up into a slide then to the refrigerator. Peace Dave

Installing dryer vent on landmark 365 Newport

In a word, no. At about two inches above the floor drill a series of exploratory holes using a small drill bit. Bighorn Traveler Tires - what to replace with?
