ATF: Bighorn - Whisper Quiet ducting design issue

To continue... I opened up the Living Room AC (on the roof) and then removed the cover over the Evaporator coil. That cover did have all of the screws in it. But when I looked at the Evaporator coil it was clogged with construction debris such as saw dust and Styrofoam particles. I brushed of...

    My Heartland experience

I will say on our previous Landmark we had some frame flexing issues as well as some others. Heartland RV stood behind the product and was repairing it an no charge to use (other than our cost to get it to Elkhart) even though we were 3 years out of warranty. That is one of the reasons we...

    Bubbles in sidewalls

The best to use is Dicor Self-Leveling for the roof and Dicor non-self leveling for everything else. Silcone is not compatable with the rubber roof and neither is any caulk containing petroleum products. You can find the Dicor caulk at RV Supply stores. There are others but Dicor is the standard.

50 amp cord trips the 50 amp breaker on the camp ground box

So I guess my answer is we need to periodically retighten (or at least check) on the tightness of the connections in the Transfer Switch and Breaker box.

50 amp cord trips the 50 amp breaker on the camp ground box

We had transfer switch problems also. Seems like the fitting in the xfer box either don't get tightened of they loosen up easily. I might be wrong but seems to me that copper wires going into an aluminum fitting do not stay tightened due to the two different types of metal. Electricians am I...

ATF: Bighorn - Whisper Quiet ducting design issue

I got an E5 on the Bedroom thermostat. One of the causes is the coil is frozen. So up on the roof I went after turning off the power to the bedroom AC. I removed the cover to the unit on the roof and saw the condensing coil and a metal cover over the evaporator coil. More that half of the...

    Help !! Landmark 365 Tire Pressures ??

I always run my tires at the cold inflation stated on the tire sidewall. If you don't weigh yours then presume you are max on the tires to be safe. One of the fastest ways to cause damage to your tire is to run it under-inflated. If you want a ballpark figure go to the Pilot Truck Stop and...

    Landmark Rubber Roof Detachment

I think the Good Sam Warranty has trip interruption. You can call them to be sure. Usually Heartland will not pay for your hotel/motel stay. Also with the roof exposed staying outside in a park waiting for the repair won't work.

    Tire Wear on Outside Edges

If your tire wears on the outside and inside that is an indication of under-inflation. If your tire wears on the middle that is an indication of over-inflation. The G614 inflation should be 110 psi cold. It is under-inflated at 102 psi cold.

Considering new truck - questions about GCVWR and going over 26,000 lbs

Call the DPS office in Livingston TX. They deal with non-commercial Class A licenses all the time because of the Escapees home base there. Many have taken their fifth-wheel/Pickup combination there for their driver's test. Many Driver License offices do not deal with this issue so they are...

If your truck is over 10000 pounds or you are 26001 in combination you will need a non-commercial Class A license. A written test and driving test towing the RV are required.

Here is my take on the warranty service from another dealer... There is a service group some dealers are members of called Route 66. It is a system where dealers who are members of Route 66 agree to treat purchasers from Route 66 dealers are treated as if they purchased from that dealer. I...

I have always said that the last step in the manufacturing process is a guy with a bag of sawdust, screws and styrofoam that goes into the trailer and throws them around everywhere. LOL :) We have taken a shop vac and put the hose in the ducts to clean out as much as we can. Also wait till...

    Pet Door

We did see one on a Cyclone (on the rear side door). They had built a ramp from the door to the ground to a small fenced in area out the grass beside the RV. Looked like they put a pet door on their outside (not the screen) door. It sure looked strange in an RV park.

    house ac for trailer

The first thing I would do is check with the RV park to see if a window or outside AC unit is allowed. Many RV parks do not allow that as it 'cheapens' the look of the RV park. It makes it look like a trailer park. Better to check first and get written permission. We have know some RV park...
