    Trailer-Aid Ramp to change tires

We have one and it generally works well, have only used it when greasing the bearings each year. We have 16" tires and find we need to put a piece of wood under it to get the tire high enough.

    Leveling blocks, anyone use these?

No. I use wood. These look useless and plastic breaks down in the sun. To protect your tire from damage the entire tire should be on a block, these look like they wouldn't be wide enough and you would still need wood if you needed to level to a different height. We have 3 pieces of wood. 2...

Roof top air vents during travel

We had this problem in a previous trailer and put a shim by the handle to make sure they would stay closed. We do have one vent with a Maxair and travel with that one open in the hot weather.

Why don't you get a half and half. I have seen that in trailers. 1 side is a booth and the other side are 2 chairs. Keep you both happy.

    Fall trip to Washington, DC

Cherry Hill is a good park, has bus service from the park to the Metro. There are some county parks that are very nice. I think they are on the west side, close to the Metro also. Try RVparkreviews.com and see what is close by.

Winter in Arizona W/O park models

We stay in Pioneer RV Park near Anthem, has park models but they are only in one section, rest of park is for trailers. Usually a lot of space, I guess it is about an hour from Mesa. We visited a park in Mesa(?), it was way out off of US60 but it was for trailers only, no park models. I don't...

    Tow or blow

With these blowouts one never knows how the tires were treated being delivered to the dealer or by the individual getting the blowout. If you are a good Rver you make sure your tires have the correct load and inflation, many people never even check their tires on a regular basis. I bet these are...

Newbie -- Would I regret not having the Leveling Up Option?

We have been rving for 40 years and have never considered a level up. We rarely use our boards to get the trailer level, most sites are good enough for us. If we are camping for a long period of time(1 week plus) then we get a bit more serious about being reasonably level, mostly so the...

    Looking for "commercial" routes

We have a Garmin GPS with lifetime maps(FYI). Downloaded from some website(had to pay) low clearances to the Garmin. Works great. The only confusion is sometimes when going over a low clearance the Garmin signals us.

    Is this good advice???

Milton, Check your tire pressure and while you are at it the mfg. date of the tires. Sometimes tire separation is due to low pressure in tires. Also, the mfg. date should be within 6-9 months for the tires.

    Need to organize my 'basement'

We redid our basement this past winter. We were close to a Home Depot which had a great selection of plastic totes. We went and bought a big selection, emptied the entire basement and started organizing. DW is much better at figuring out these things and can imagine what crates fit where so she...

Frameless Windows/Ducted Air for BH in 2014?

Our BH has ducted air and it is a 2009 I think. I am not sure what you mean by arched ceilings but the ceiling is very high in the BH, don't see why it would need to be arched. Not sure what a frameless window is but really don't care. I look at the quality of the build and the layout of the...

Water Pump - Enough pressure to wash trailer?

One solution I have seen was to get a garden sprayer and fill that up. We usually go through truck washes near the end of a trip, simple solution and they do a good job.

Ok, is this idea insane? Lay it on me, good and bad.

I agree Morryde weighs the rig and puts on the correct IS so I would not have any concerns there. Why don't you get your rig weighed so you have a better idea. Ideally a 4 tire weighing would be best but a truck scale would work for now.

You need to use common sense when using any GPS. People blindly following the GPS route are the ones that get into trouble.

    Distant Network Services for non-fulltimer

We travel Sept-Jan each year. We have a DNS waiver. In August I called up had my locals turned off and the DNS turned on. Once verified that they were working we picked up our S&B receiver and put it in the trailer and off we went. They added the $15/month to our account for the DNS service...

    Kitchen Slide Water Leak

When our kitchen slide is in and we travel in rain the floor is wet when we pull into the campground. I have looked at the slide when in and there is no seal that I can see. Distant Network Services for non-fulltimer

I would recommend going to the Escapees Forum at www.rvnetwork.com. There is a discussion going on right now. We have had DNSservice on and off for years. Left Texas

We use our tanks for water during the cold weather. All we hook up when on the road is electricity, if we are camping for an extended I would get the heat tape but still keep my tanks full. Rather than the heater we use a light bulb behind the UDC(regular bulb) and it works great. Also provides...
