I installed my own MCD shades on my BH. It is a pretty job. Just make sure that all the clips are perfectly in line with each other. If not, the shade won't snap in very easy or not at all.

Lippert recommends 3 different types. I purchased one of the recommended ones for $10 at a motorcycle shop. Cat wanted $28 for their brand that was recommended by Lippert.

We've made it to Amana safe and sound. Judi and I would like to thank all those that had a hand in setting up this rally. We had a ball. Kenny good luck in your tests.

I have no problem with SOB's coming to our rallies. The thing that aggravates the holly molly out of me is when the same ones come over and over. If you want to hang out at our rallies so bad that you come over and over, then by a Heartland. And that's my opinion.

Most likely you're plugged into a 20 A receptacle at your sons house. While I have run the AC at my house before, I did run into a problem at my cousins house a few years ago on a SOB. He had very low voltage at his house and me using an extension cord that was too long(and I know better), I did...

Jim.Allison I love my "useless decoration" and use it all the time as I did on my previous four fivers. While I agree that the ladders in the RV industry need to be improved to call them useless decoration is ludicrous.

The rally is off to a good start. Ten of us went out to eat at the Cracker Barrel this evening. The campfire is blazing away.

When we ordered our 2014 BH we asked the factory to install it with the opening towards the steps. I was under the impression that all of them are installed that way now.

After covering my last rig(a BC) for one season my dealer could tell that I had covered it. When the cover flops around in the wind, it can cause chafing. I no longer will cover any of my rigs. And don't think you can get the cover tight enough not to cause problems.

I had a cover on my brand new BC. After I removed the cover my dealer looked at it and asked if I had it covered for the winter. He could see the damage the cover had caused. Oh by the way I have a cover for sale.

Bobby A you ask if these things go bad. Personally I can't think of any electronic equipment that couldn't go bad. Instead of finding someone that has a meter, go and buy one. They are very inexpensive and no RV'er should be without a multimeter.

No grout needed. It is a self adhesive vinyl. Cut it with scissors. Very easy to install. Available at Home Depot. Smart tiles is the name.

Don't waste your time and effort using sandpaper if you just have rub marks. Use the Meguiar’s #50 as shown in post#3 and a buffer/polisher. If that doesn't take it out, you can always go the sandpaper route.

I agree with Jan & Bill. Screw extractor also called an Easy Out is the way to go.

Don't know if Heartland uses this model in any of our rigs, but a friend of mine has one in his Jayco (I know, I tried). His door just fell off. A friend of his has the same refrigerator and his door fell off too. Just a heads up.

Don't know if this will help you, but on my Bighorn they are 7/8.

I would be tempted to put a plate between the plug and the fiberglass. Make a large hole in the center to accommodate the plug and a hole in each corner. If you can't get the wires through, you could make it a two piece plate. Make it a little larger so the screws will go into something solid...

My current rig is a Heartland previous to this one it was Heartland the two rigs before that were Montanas. Too many issues on the last Montana.. Absolutely love my Bighorn.
