I just went through this on mine. I'm assuming that stripe is a decal, which you would order seperately. The prices are very reasonable if you order directly from Heartland. With truck freight, my parts came out to about $500.

Valterra makes a nice blade valve that attaches to the outlet pipe in place of the cover. I think it was about $25, but well worth the price.

LaMesa RV in Mesa. They are good at what they do, but they are s-l-o-w getting parts. Also they get backed up in the service department (you can't get in until mid-December right now). I'm getting authorization for Van's RV in Sun City to do some work for me while they fix the damage to my rig.

There are only 2 grey tanks in the 3800. It may be possible that your valve is still closed, if the cable became disconnected. I would try to move it and try to feel if it feels freer than the other tank. I wouldn't recommend leaving the valves open all the time. That leaves an open path for...

Our 2012 3800 is (from front to back) black - gray - black - gray. I remember you always dump black first, so black is in front. Also - only the rear lav tank dumps out of the rear pipe, so we dump that one first, then move the hose to the front to dump the front black, followed by the grays...
