    Where are the Landmarks?

I too have noticed their absence (I'm in Bama country). When I considered a potential Landmark upgrade I quickly realized that (other than disc brakes- fixable - and a 3rd AC unit) my fully dressed Bighorn equals the Landmark in all but pride of ownership. At least I like to think so.

Commercially rated tires versus standard LT tires. Using basically the same drive trains the F350 weighs less than the beefier F450 so its payload IS greater (by several hundred pounds?).

SOLVED: Pressure at kitchen sink is low, both hot and cold

Re: Pressure at kitchen sink is low, both hot and cold I'm inclined to think that the faucet itself may be clogged. Can it be removed and back-flushed?

MODS: if this violates any policies feel free to delete it. My question is what are you comparing the F450 against? For a larger audience response I recommend you go on over to a Ford forum -specifically their towing forum, and ask the users there. https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/forum287/...

I've never experienced an outer door without a capable latch to hold it open; maybe search camper world (or Amazon) for a door holding latch? In the interim perhaps a wedged broom handle?

    Dumped the 3611, bought a 4007.....

As I was 'dumb' on what a 4007 was I googled it; WOW! Dry weight of 16,600, loaded weight at 20K. That load will crush your pictured tow vehicle. Personally I'd be hesitate to put that load on my F350 dually; I'd strongly suggest not just a dually but an F450 (or bigger - Peterbuilt?).

DVD playing in Black and White

DVD? RCA connections? Those are only slightly newer than eight track/ cd players; rather than mess with them - replace them. Look towards (at a minimum) a Blue Ray player and a *HDMI connecting cable*, maybe as much as $100. *Assuming your TV is new enough to support HDMI*. If not consider...

    M32 Stolen - now what?

Last Feb. I suffered a similar event, my daily driver was stolen; it was recovered a few hours later, totalled. Although my insurance (USAA) treated me well I still had to purchase (read finance) another car - vs this one that was paid for. I wish you a better resolution.

    2018 Bighorn traveler mattress

A few years back it was time to replace our home mattress. Hundreds of choices- and every one claimed to be the best. About that time Consumer Reports (CR) did an eval of mattresses. They were impressed with the Casper brand of mail-able/ in a box foam mattress; it came with a satisfaction...

If your safe is anything like mine then it's not worth the effort. Mine, incidentally, is located under the "master" bedroom mattress. Our most precious items are our selves (and yes, my fur-puppy), where time is of primary concern. It took me over a year to initially get mine open (we...

Older Heartland RV's and Propane Tanks

Not that this'll help but I believe these tanks are certified for 12 years. I've got a small fleet of the 20 pound ones, as they approach the date I swap them out at Walmart (choosing one that has a recent date on it). I traded out my Jayco about the same time their 30# tanks needed renewal.

2017 F350- Anyone chipping these beasts?

Going Uphill: While I may be mistaken I suspect you could turn your fifth wheel over, chain it to the frame and drag it up the Rockies. All of the Big 3 manufacturers current 3/4 and up trucks will get you there, gas or diesel. The Ford 6.7 w/ 4.10 gears was also my choice. While you don't...

2017 F350- Anyone chipping these beasts?

Ask yourself: what powered trucks up/over the Rockies back in the days? If 440HP (with 925 ft-lbs tq.) doesn't offer you enough flexibility then look towards a class 7 truck.

Where did my rv antifreeze go?

Low point drains are separate from a fresh water tank drain. My Bighorn only has a fresh water tank drain. My former Jayco had two additional low point drains (one for the hot/ one for the cold) used to drain both water lines.

Hello neighbors, wish we could make it but we're in So. Cal. visiting my family. Many of the roads we've traveled are too narrow/ twisty (Redwood Forest, Sequoia Forest) and or snowy (Old Faithful) for the 5th wheel so it was left behind. Hope to catch y'all on the next southern meet. Sue n...

    Sewer smelly

I've occasionally had that smell; my observations are it only happens when my black tank is getting close to full - and I flush - AND the bathroom exhaust vent is on. For me that indicates it's time to pull the plug, followed by a tank rinse session.
