Big Horn Faux Leather Furniture peeling

We have same year, same fake leather and doing the same thing. I guess I am just surprised it lasted this long. Ours are only peeling on the chairs where it is touched by our heads. I assumed it is from the oils etc in our hair. Everything else (except for a few spots where it get banged up...

What did you do to your camper today?

Installed new Curt hitch (replaced older Reese 15K) and added the 5th Wheel Latch Kit. Old hitch was wearing out and getting sloppy. When I went to the 5th Wheel Latch Kit web site, there was a note that said that it could NOT be used with 5th Airborne pinbox. I could not understand why...

    Tow Max Again

Had a total of three that went bad, the first blew out and did about $1500 damage, the next two did not blow because we were saved by the TPMS that let us know they were loosing air, we we able to stop before they started to shred and cause damage. We have since installed LT tires and feel much...

    Stopped hydraulic leak

Had a leak that seemed to keep the foot pad on the right front leg covered in a small amount of hydraulic fluid. Coach has been parked since Nov. Traced it down to a leaking hose where it attached to the top of the leg. Apparently it was due to the way it was installed that caused the hose to be...

    Champion 3000 watt inverter generator

We carry one in the back of the truck and very happy with it. Not as quiet as the Honda or Yamaha but not that bad either. For the $300 we paid for it we have been happy. Would do it again if we had too. Been using it for 4 years now and it has never let us down.

    Mail forwarding

Since we are part timers (only gone for 3-4 months during the summer), we have one of our children go through our mail to get rid of junk mail. We leave large envelopes for them to put the mail we want in and have them send it General Delivery to a post office of our choice. We always pick one...

    Big Horn 2011 3070

We have the 3070 and love the open floor plan. The biggest problem we have is the pin weight seems to be heavy for a coach of that length. After towing for over 4 yrs, the large basement storage area is now only half full. Had to get rid of stuff we did not absolutely need to reduce the pin...

    Wash & Wax Products

I like the wash/wax. Mainly because it is so easy to use and seems to leave a smooth finish. I do the entire coach twice a year. The front cap gets applied more often, depending on the bug removal situation. I try to get to them every time we stop (when possible). The wash/wax is so easy to use...

    Squeak..Squeak

Don't count on the wet bolts to stop the squeaks. Had wet bolts installed 4 yrs ago and rig still squeaks. Not sure where it comes from, but we have just gotten used to it and don't worry about it. However, I still highly recommend the wet bolts.

TST. Been using them for 8 years. Last year changed to the flow through style. Once in a while it burps and doesn't work, but seems to come back on it's own. Their customer service can not be beat. Great folks to deal with.

Electric water heater, heats when it wants to

Hope someone can help. We are having problems with the electric water heater. It will come on (sometimes) and work great. Will take a shower and have plenty of hot water. Then later (perhaps a couple hours or even several hours) when the DW takes a shower there is no hot water. Then later...

    Pesky ANT Prevention

Sevin Dust. Get it from any big box or WalMart. Put it anywhere that touches the ground. ie; around tires, power cord, landing gear, jacks, water hose, etc. I find it best to put it around tires and any jacks BEFORE putting the slides out. Easier to reach the inside of tires. Great stuff!!!

    Step Supports

Bill, Our steps have an Elkhart Tool label on them and like I said, no problems folding them for the past 3 years and MANY uses (24,000 coach miles). Maybe we got lucky with ours. I am curious to see the replies you get about problems with the quad steps. As for the support, I am referring...

    Step Supports

I don't understand why you had to bend the steps to get them to fold up easily. We have never had any problems folding our 4 step. As far as the support goes, it would be useless to install it on the bottom step since it would not provide any support from there since that step just flips up...

3 to 4 step entry suggestions

Installed the Stromberg-Carlson 4 step over 3 yrs ago and it has worked just fine. Check out PPL Motorhomes, I got the best price there. We ordered the 4 step because there is only a 7" rise between steps and it is easier on the bad knees.

Installing the 4 step was one of the first things I did (we both have bad knees). I installed the fold up support on the second step since the bottom step just flipped up anyway. Steps fold up just fine for over 3 yrs so far.
