    Factory Tour of Heartland

The factory tour was the culmination of looking at MANY tours of various RVs at dealer's and shows over the course of a couple of years. We made lots of notes on what we saw on each RV - not just layouts but what we call the "bounce factor". That's how solid the unit felt in normal walking...

Don't let the dealer tell you that they checked ______ and it works fine. Check it yourself.

Not getting exactly what Heartland offered in our new Landmark

It can be frustrating. The interior wood color changed in ours, but fortunately we liked the change.

Be aware of the weather when RVing

Glad y'all are safe, Erika. We've grabbed our fur kids and run for cover before and will do it again. There are too few shelters allow pets even in crates. Martha

    Hydraulic leveling on cross slope.

We always eyeball our sites and put level pads if we think appropriate. The auto level will stop if it cannot level the trailer.

Slides in or out when auto leveling?

We level first and then extend the slides. If you're getting door swing, use a level and validate that it's truly the trailer off level. You might need to recalibrate the auto level. We've done that - not hard to do.

Where do you get a good deal on a new Big Horn?

D We got ours there. Salesman Joe was great. Not sure if he's still there, but he knew his stuff.

    Autogrip tires?

There are reviews from the UK which are not positive. Apparently on autos only, the reviews say that they are dry pavement only safe. Personally, we'd let someone else be the tester and not put on anything we planned to haul. Just our 2¢ worth.

    Front landing gear question.

Not us. Been in many campgrounds (short and long term) as well as storage facilities and never a problem (yet).

    Mystery Switch Big Country 3250TS

Sounds like a switch to activate the Yeti systems. Don't leave it on. It's meant to heat the holding tanks in freezing weather.

flooring in hall and toilet room

Bob 34787, Did you speak with Heartland yourself or just your dealer? We discovered that sometimes a dealer's representative can be vague in the description of the problem.

    Big Rigs and RV Parks

We traveled a year full-time time in ours and it worked for us having reservations. We'd make them a week out, but we also researched park looking at reviews, Google earth, and trip advisor to see what was in the area to determine how long we'd stay in any one location. We always made sure to...

    Great job by heartland

Heartland has always been there for us when we needed anything, from items needed when we had blowouts to repair the damage to advice on how to fabricate something on the fly as we traveled. When we were getting push back from our dealer on warranty repairs, it was amazing how quickly we...
